Just a reminder to watch the Pea Soup Day's Parade Saturday morning at 11:00. I will be in the parade as well as Pam Frey one of our medallion winners. Look for the '46 Ford Stepside with the Sportsman's banner! I will be launching candy at small children for the entire parade. Sportsman's is not responsible for any injuries. Kidding - Sportsman's will provide band aid's.

Anyways, get out and enjoy Pea Soup Days. The weather is gearing up to be perfect. Don't forget to stop into Sportsman's for your container of Pea Soup. Congratulations to Pam Frey and Pam Reuvers on finding the 2009 Pea Soup Day's Medallion. It was located in a magnetic 'hide-a-key' container under the mailbox at the post office. At first, they were looking inside the Post Office which made Pete think they were crazy ladies!! They then moved their search outside in the rain to the area of the mailbox. One of them ran their hand under the mailbox which dislodged the hide-a-key. Pam Reuvers started to open it to the horror of Pam Frey who thought it was Pete's spare key for the post office!!! Thank goodness Pam Reuvers didn't listen and opened it anyways and discovered the 'medallion'. Both gals reported to Sportsman's promptly where Missi noticed they looked like cute drowned rats. They produced the 'medallion' and are very excited to have won! Again - congratulations!

Good Morning All!

I hope you're enjoying our heat wave! Only in WI can we have frost one week and 97 degrees the next! I wanted to let you all know that there will be a special clue this Memorial Day Weekend. It will be an opportunity to get out and honor all veterans, especially those in our community. Be sure to stop by Sportsman's this Saturday & pick up the clue to be a part of it!

If you haven't already, get to Sportsman's and sign up for the Pea Soup Day's medallion hunt. This one is going to be better than the last one for the simple fact you won't be freezing your tail off! I am writing the clues again, which will either make you groan or grin! The focus of this hunt will be Somerset history, so BRUSH UP!

I've created this blog as a forum for all of you to talk about the medallion hunt and ask questions if you have them. I think it will be a fun way to see what other people are thinking, talk about what you think the clues mean, and just have some friendly, good old fashioned banter.
